During Whole Foods Market’s opening morning celebration, New Covenant Center received a refrigerated van and food donation from Whole Foods Market as part of the Nourishing Our Neighborhoods program. This initiative, launched in 2020, aims to enhance the ability of local food rescue organizations to transport surplus food to areas facing the greatest need.
Students who took part in the food drive helped load canned food onto a van sent by the Thomas Merton Family Center, a nonprofit that provides food and other free services to the community.
