Patient Accounts Coordinator

This part-time position (21 hrs/week) is responsible for processing patient visits into the billing system, verifying patient medical insurance, credentialing of licensed behavioral health staff, resolving patient billing issues, interfacing with the outside billing system, monthly reporting of patient services, and invoicing to grant funders.

Director of Housing

Position Summary:

Catholic Charities of Fairfield County is seeking an experienced, motivated leader to join its senior management team in the full time, Director of Housing position.

The Director of Housing is responsible for the administration of housing programs and services, including permanent supportive housing and transitional housing for formerly homeless adults and families.

This position is responsible for a budget in excess of $1 million and is accountable for contract applications and renewals to government funders. The Director of Housing represents Catholic Charities on external housing committees and effectively collaborates with the regional Continuum of Care, local/state/federal entities, and other community partners. The position supervises key personnel and oversees all program operations, including staff development, performance outcome reporting, funding audits, data management, productivity, and consumer satisfaction. The Director of Housing is also responsible for implementing new initiatives and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Masters Degree in Social Work or related discipline.
  • Minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience, and three (3) years of progressive management experience in government-funded services.
  • Working knowledge of government contracts, audits, compliance requirements & program budgets.
  • Strong leadership skills required. Ability to motivate and direct staff to ensure that services meet quality standards.
  • Ability to work within complex systems of care and effectively communicate regulatory requirements to program staff and senior management.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail.

Strongly Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Housing First and supportive housing services.

Certified HUD grants management system user, Licensed HMIS and DDaP user preferred.

Morning Glory Kitchen Attendant

Catholic Charities’ Morning Glory Breakfast Program serves breakfast seven days a week out of the Dorothy Day Hospitality House, to the homeless and financially disadvantaged of the Danbury area.  Morning Glory serves, on average, 80 individuals a day and provides a safe environment for individuals to have a warm meal, meet with providers, and get other basic needs met.

Catholic Charities is looking to hire a Kitchen Attendant to assist with the running of Morning Glory.  The duties include:

  • Working at the kitchen five days a week,
  • Preparing meals on site,
  • Assisting with program set-up and clean-up.

This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. The job’s incumbent(s) are responsible for performing other business-related duties as assigned by management.

The position is part-time, 15 hours/week spread out over five days (6:15AM to 9:15AM, Sunday through Thursday). 

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The ability to lift 25 lbs
  • Kitchen experience preferred
  • Food Service training and certification preferred
  • Spanish speaking/bi-lingual preferred

Fundraising Manager (Part-time, contract position) – Catholic Charities of Fairfield County

Reporting to the Regional Director, this critical new role will assists with grant writing, development planning and implementation of strategic fundraising goals.    This position is a part-time independent contractor.  The role is critical to the success of the expansion of donor engagement in supporting efforts to those in need around Northern Fairfield County and Stamford.  

Requirements:

  • At least two years of non-profit fundraising/development experience preferred
  • Excellent written communication, research and organizational skills
  • Experience writing foundation and corporate grants preferred
  • Experience handling communications for the purposes of cultivating and soliciting individuals, foundations, or corporate support
  • Experience working with advisory/fundraising committees/boards
  • Computer proficiency; experience with (Raiser’s Edge)fundraising or other databases

Recovery Advisor

Exciting part-time position at a recovery-based, consumer-driven, psychosocial rehabilitation program in Danbury. Program offers curriculum-based skills teaching, support and social activities for adults with mental illness.

 Ideal candidate has ability to facilitate skill building classes and social rehabilitation activities, complete necessary program documents and be able to actively engage clients in program activities. High School diploma or equivalent and one year of prior related experience working in mental health required. Recovery Support Specialist certification welcomed but not required.
