Program Assistant (part-time)

Catholic Charities of Fairfield County is seeking a part-time Program Assistant for the Morning Glory Breakfast Program in Danbury. Position provides on-site meal service up to 18 hours/week, from 6:00 am – 9:15 am Wednesday-Sunday.

Duties include working with volunteer groups to prepare and serve breakfast, instructing guests on appropriate behaviors and reinforcing program expectations.

Additional responsibilities include ordering and organizing inventory and the pick-up and delivery of donations. Valid driver’s license, car, and proof of insurance required. Bilingual strongly preferred. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Recovery Advisor (Part-Time)

Exciting part-time position at a recovery-based, consumer-driven, psychosocial rehabilitation program in Danbury. Program offers support groups, skill-building classes, and social rehabilitation activities to adults with mental illness.

Ideal candidate has the ability to facilitate classes and groups and is confident running social rehabilitation activities.  Must be comfortable in a social setting and able to easily engage with new people.  Must be capable of completing necessary program documents and be able to actively engage clients in program activities. Prior experience working with mentally ill required. Recovery Support Specialist certification welcomed.

Program Supervisor – Meals on Wheels

Catholic Charities is seeking a full-time Program Supervisor for its Meals on Wheels program delivering to homes in Norwalk and Stamford. The position is based in Stamford, CT.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the orderly and efficient delivery of daily meals to enrolled MOW clients, ensuring that meal delivery protocols are followed and that deliveries meet contractual and regulatory requirements, with special attention to CHCPE.
  • Responsible for the supervision, training and evaluation of staff of drivers. 
  • Oversee fleet management of agency vehicles.
  • Complete necessary documentation and required reports to CCFC, SWCAA and Billing Service.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in elderly nutrition field required.
  • Experience supervising and managing staff teams required.
  • Computer proficiency: e-mail, intranet and Microsoft word is required.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, changing environment with the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

Community Support Specialist – Danbury, CT

Catholic Charities of Fairfield County is seeking an experienced, motivated individual for a part-time (28 hours/week) Coordinated Access Network Navigator for its Homeless Services Department in Danbury, CT.

Qualified candidates will be responsible for the core function of client support which will include engaging clients who access the Coordinated Entry System.
