Catholic Charities of Fairfield County, Inc., one of the largest private social service providers in Fairfield County, supports and empowers individuals and families through its broad scope of programs, including housing and homeless services, mental health, adoption, immigration, and family support.

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated individual for a full-time (35-hour/week), benefits-eligible Permanent Supportive Housing Case Manager position within its Homeless Services division in Danbury. This position works with homeless and formerly homeless individuals living with mental health diagnoses, involvement in the criminal justice system, and/or substance use disorders to overcome barriers, secure and sustain stable, permanent housing, and improve overall quality of life through ongoing strengths-based case management and wraparound support.

Required Experience and Essential Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in homeless services or supportive housing providing case management to individuals affected by significant barriers.
  • Individuals with lived experience strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Familiarity with or ability to learn multiple systems including housing, healthcare, employment, substance use disorder treatment, and government benefits.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills. Ability to develop strong and effective relationships with clients, colleagues, landlords and community partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and submit accurate and timely data and documentation, including case notes, assessments, service plans, and other reporting requirements.
  • Ability to work autonomously, and as a member of a team. Takes initiative and/or independent action to ensure work responsibilities are completed in a timely manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated computer literacy and ability to learn multiple database platforms; ability to multi-task.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience. Individuals with lived experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Bi-lingual candidates (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
  • Driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation required.
