Catholic Charities of Fairfield County, in partnership with Connecticut Foodshare, is proud to host a monthly Mobile Food Pantry to support families in need of nutritious food. The fourth Saturday of every month, beginning January 25, 2025.
The Thomas Merton Family Center is a program of Catholic Charities of Fairfield County. We serve ~350 meals a day – breakfast & lunch on week days. Showers are open to guests twice a week. TMFC provides guests with a mailing address to receive Social Security, EBT and medical cards. A registered guest can receive up to 5 days of nutritious food for meals from our food pantry each month. Case managers provide individual assistance and partner with other agencies based on needs of the guest. Vocational services, ESL classes, and more will be offered soon.

During Whole Foods Market’s opening morning celebration, New Covenant Center received a refrigerated van and food donation from Whole Foods Market as part of the Nourishing Our Neighborhoods program. This initiative, launched in 2020, aims to enhance the ability of local food rescue organizations to transport surplus food to areas facing the greatest need.
Students who took part in the food drive helped load canned food onto a van sent by the Thomas Merton Family Center, a nonprofit that provides food and other free services to the community.
