Light the World Giving Machine in CT

November 25 - December 15

Join us at the Darien Sport Shop (1127 Boston Post Rd in Darien) for their annual tree lighting ceremony on December 1st, where we will launch the Light the World Giving Machines. There will be giveaways for those in attendance, as well as a surprise visitor. Don’t miss out on the fun!

Giving Machine is part of the annual Light the World initiative, sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Giving Machines are customized red vending machines with a twist. Instead of dispensing a product to consume, they allow people to donate tangible items to help those in need, whether they live across the street or around the world.

We’re proud that Catholic Charities of Fairfield County is one of the featured nonprofits in the Fairfield County Giving Machines, along with:

  1. Person to Person
  2. Connecticut Humane Society
  3. Connecticut Food Share
  4. Family & Children’s Agency

From November 25 to December 15, 2024, you’ll find the Connecticut Giving Machine outside the Darien Sport Shop, operational 24/7. We invite everyone to join us in lifting burdens, spreading kindness, and serving those in need.
