National Suicide Prevention Month: Lighting the Path to Hope
Every year, September is recognized as National Suicide Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness about the alarming prevalence of suicide and the resources available to prevent it. For many, it is a time of reflection, education, and commitment to advocating for mental health. The mission of Catholic Charities of Fairfield County (CCFC) New Outlook Counseling is to stand in solidarity with those struggling and to provide compassionate and professional care.
“Feeding our Families” through New Covenant Center
This Saturday, September 9th, New Covenant Center, a program of Catholic Charities of Fairfield County, will be participating in NBC 4 NY and Telemundo’s sponsorship of “Feeding our Families” in the tri-state area. Over 200 Stop and Shop locations will be the sites of local food pantries who will collect donated items to distribute to people in need. The overall goal is to reach $1 million in donated food throughout the region.
