Dishwasher

Part-time (~20 hours/week)

Thomas Merton Family Center | Bridgeport, CT

Support the daily operations of the TMFC Kitchen Services Department by ensuring dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen areas are cleaned and sanitized during meal service hours.

Accountabilities

  • Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, trays, utensils, cookware, and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing station.
  • Support kitchen staff by ensuring a continuous supply of clean dishware.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Remove trash, sweep and mop kitchen floors as needed.
  • Assist with end-of-day kitchen clean-up and maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support kitchen operations.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma preferred; prior food service experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to follow food safety standards, lift up to 40 pounds, and stand for long periods.
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
