Catholic Charities’ Homeless Outreach Services (HOS) is made up of support programs dedicated to serving individuals who are experiencing homelessness, at risk of becoming homeless, or have been identified as chronically homeless. HOS Assists over 120 homeless individuals and families every year of all ages, gender, race, and ethnicity. HOS case managers work closely with the other agencies in town ensuring that clients of the program receive appropriate referrals and timely services. The outreach workers employ creative and tailored solutions to each and every client they work with. The staff also serves as a liaison and educational resource to social service providers about homelessness services and the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) and the needs of homeless and at-risk clients.

• Our programs focus on meeting with homeless and at risk individuals and providing emergency service resources as needed.
• We provide access to benefits, food, clothing, medical, mental health, substance abuse and housing services.
• Our case managers engage with clients at the shelters, soup kitchens, on the streets, in the woods and under bridges.

While the Homeless Outreach Team has an office located at 405 Main Street in Danbury, the majority of their time and work is conducted in the community.
