Catholic Charities Joins State-Wide “Baby Bonds” Ambassador Network
Catholic Charities of Fairfield County (CCFC) has joined Connecticut’s growing CT Baby Bonds Ambassador Network, a coalition of nonprofits, cities, and community groups enlisted by State Treasurer Erick Russell to spread the word about the state’s first-in-the-nation wealth-building trust for children born into poverty.
New Morning Glory Kitchen Equipment Helps Us Do What We Do Best
Thanks to the generosity of our donors and partners, our kitchen just got a big upgrade! A new pancake griddle and freezer are helping us serve more meals than ever, up to 200 pancakes an hour! With continued food donations from Dorothy Day, we’re keeping our freezer stocked and our community fed. Helping our neighbors is what we do BEST!
Catholic Charities mourns the passing of Pope Francis
Throughout his historic papacy, Pope Francis inspired Catholics and all people of good will to live as Christ did. A modern-day prophet, Pope Francis read the signs of the times and awakened us to meaningful change in our behavior — within the Church and within the world. Complex challenges such as extreme poverty, homelessness, mental illness, forced migration, climate change and war did not intimidate him; they broke his heart and inspired him to call for a more merciful, charitable, just and other-centered world.
