Empowering Guests Through Cooking at Thomas Merton Family Center
At the Thomas Merton Family Center (TMFC), every meal served and every bag of groceries distributed through the food pantry carries a deeper purpose: nourishing not just the body but also the spirit of community. It was in this spirit that a simple question from pantry guests sparked an initiative that would empower them far beyond the kitchen.
Director, Thomas Merton Family Center
Catholic Charities of Fairfield County is seeking a Director for its Thomas Merton Family Center (TMFC), located in Bridgeport CT. This full-time, benefits-eligible position reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for all aspects of the Center’s program planning, administration, and day-to-day management of services including the supervision of guest volunteers and Title V workers from outside agencies. The Director is responsible for development and will work with development staff and the advisory council to obtain new donors and retain existing contributors while promoting the mission of the Thomas Merton Family Center in providing a safe, supportive, respectful and hope-filled service environment to the guests who seek its services.
