New Covenant Center is focused on hunger prevention and social services for a better life. Our facility in Stamford provides expanded basic need services to our guests. By creating a safe, warm and compassionate environment, we are taking the first steps toward empowering men, women and children to reach their full potential and regain their dignity and self-respect.



Services

Our soup kitchen serves 300 healthy, hot and nutritious meals daily.
Over 1,150 individuals receive 10 days / 3 meals a day worth of groceries each month from our food pantry.
New job skills programs focused on the food/hospitality industry are offered for clients.
Staff provides assistance to address basic individual and family issues, to identify and overcome barriers/obstacles and to provide links to supportive services such as medical and mental health referrals.

Programs include SNAP Benefits, Family Loan Program, and Community Access Program.
We offer over 100 showers per month and provide barber services and hygiene items to clients.
Active Toiletry Program distributes essential necessities to clients.
Referral program partners with area non-profits to provide additional social services for clients.



Holiday Appeal

The New Covenant Center Holiday Appeal supports neighbors in need through a variety of programs, including daily meals, food pantry services, healthcare and housing referrals, and employment assistance. Your donations will help provide these essential services to families and individuals in Stamford, with an increase in families served by 25% this year.

Meet Robert and Kimberly, two inspiring individuals from Stamford who have faced incredible challenges and found hope and support at New Covenant Center.

Robert shares his journey of loss, resilience, and ...perseverance. After caring for his mother through her battle with dementia, he became homeless when he couldn't stay in her apartment after her passing. For nearly a year, Robert lived in his car, seeking meals at New Covenant Center. Thanks to Yvette and the Center’s resources, he found shelter and eventually secured his own one-bedroom apartment, marking a new chapter in his life.

Kimberly, a lifelong Stamford resident, faced unimaginable hardships after the loss of her mother, a separation from her spouse, and the struggle of raising her young children alone. New Covenant Center has been her anchor, providing food, counseling, and emotional support. Despite her fears, Kimberly is determined to move forward for the sake of her children, who still see the world with innocence and joy.

Their stories are powerful reminders of the strength of community and the impact of compassion.

Larry Kudlow Speaks at the 2024 New Covenant Center Summer Soirée

Lawrence "Larry" Kudlow is a Fox News Media contributor. His show "Kudlow" airs at 4 pm ET weekdays on the Fox Business Network. He is also radio host of "The ...Larry Kudlow Show" that broadcasts every Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm ET on 77WABC Radio.

He started his career at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Mr. Kudlow has been a nationally syndicated columnist. He was a senior editor of National Review magazine, as well as a columnist and economics editor for National Review Online. He is also the author of "JFK and the Reagan Revolution: A Secret History of American Prosperity" and "American Abundance: The New Economic and Moral Prosperity."

He previously served as the president of St. Patrick's Church Parish Council in Redding, Connecticut and on the Fordham University Board of Trustees. Mr. Kudlow has won numerous awards, including the Bishop's Humanitarian Award from the Catholic Charities of Brooklyn & Queens, the New York Police Department Holy Name Society's Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Ambassadors for Mission Award from the Pontifical Mission Societies of the United States. He recently received the Ronald Reagan Freedom Award from the Texas Public Policy Foundation.

Mr. Kudlow was educated at the University of Rochester and Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.

Established in 2016, this prestigious award pays tribute to individuals who have made remarkable contributions to our mission of hunger prevention and social services, creating a pathway towards a better life for those in need.
